I vaguely remember a song about Vaseline....

So....did you know that Vaseline is almost impossible to wash out of hair? Yesterday, C and K were eating lunch before C went to school. I ran upstairs to flat iron my hair really quick. After about two minutes C comes upstairs and tells me that K has white stuff all over. I run downstairs expecting flour or sugar or salt everywhere (we all know K likes to climb in the pantry). Nope, nothing in the pantry. Just K with a bar stool pushed up to the counter (did I mention that K knows how to climb up on the bar stools now!) next to our fridge with all the cupboards open and a jar of Vaseline next to her. I wish I'd taken a pic, but I literally had about five minutes to get her cleaned up and get C to school. It was everywhere! I am not supposed to touch stuff like Vaseline right now (which I will not be explaining in this post), so I was scraping the goo off her with paper towels and trying to get it off the walls, the counter, the fridge without getting it on me! Ahhh.....good times, good times..... Anyway, I washed her hair in the sink, ran C to school, K to my neighbors, and then ran to help Ty's teacher at school. Two hours later I come back to get K and her hair still looks wet, but greasy wet. Ugh! I washed it three times yesterday to no avail, once this morning....I'll let you know how it goes.....

Oh what a mess! As I was reading this I was thinking that maybe some kind of powder to soak up the grease would help, so I googled how to remove vaseline from hair and it said cornstarch or cornmeal. Yeah, that would make a huge mess, but hey if you are desperate.
I was just thinking I have a container of vaseline in my bathroom that looks a lot like the container of pomade I use on the boys hair. I should put the vaseline somewhere else :)

I'm laughing hysterically because Logan did the same thing about 3 months ago, but with mentholatum. He smelled like an old man for about a week, yuck! I washed his hair vigorously for about a week and it eventually went away. Try the cornstarch that sounds like a good remedy!
The UV marathon is june 13th. I've completely lost my mind I do know that, and if you do come bring me a stretcher because I'm sure I won't be walking afterwords:)

Dang good luck with that one! It's so funny that she thought to put it in her hair. I hope it comes out soon :) So funny!
